Led by Jon Rollins, the Asheville Tourists downed the Hickory Crawdads, 5-3. Rollins was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Tourists. Asheville starter Milo Sykes was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 7-2. The triumph puts Asheville at 41-30 for the season.

Tim Stevenson went 1-3 with a double and a walk for Asheville. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jake Thomas. It was his 4th walk of the season.
