The West Virginia Power picked up a win at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, dropping the Delmarva Shorebirds, 4-1. Héctor Murillo, who is tied for 6th in the SAL in wins with 8, was the difference-maker. Jeremiah Wheeler recorded the save, his 16th. With the win, the Power have a record of 36-41.

West Virginia used a well-timed hit by Bob Bishop to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Power ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

West Virginia manager German Melendez commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
