Shorebirds Pick Up 4-1 Win Against Savannah
|
The Delmarva Shorebirds welcomed the Savannah Sand Gnats to an night game at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.
The Delmarva Shorebirds beat the Savannah Sand Gnats, 4-1, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The Shorebirds got a fine performance from left fielder Reginald Ross, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Delmarva reliever Chris Love picked up the win, while Dominic Roy took the loss for Savannah.
In the bottom of the sixth, José Guillén delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Delmarva third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Shorebirds in front, 4-1.
"It was a solid team effort," said Guillén after the game.
With the win, the Shorebirds sit at 41-36.
