The Delmarva Shorebirds downed the West Virginia Power, 3-2, at Appalachian Power Park. The Shorebirds were led by Jimmy Koch. Koch threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Delmarva reliever Freddy Durán picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Rhett Fuller was saddled with the loss. Robinson García closed the game out for Delmarva, earning his 9th save.

Luis Pérez had a direct impact on the outcome. Pérez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Delmarva up, 3-2.

"It was terrific getting this win," Koch said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
