Thrilling Walk-Off Win for GreenJackets
The Augusta GreenJackets beat the Rome Firebirds in 17 innings at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The final score was 7-6, in favor of Augusta. Alan Osborne led the way, going 3-for-8 for the home team. Augusta reliever Devin Green picked up the win, raising his record to 3-0. Greg Warner was tagged with the loss. The win lifted the Augusta record to 45-35.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ron White in the bottom of the 17th when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Greg Warner to win the game for Augusta. The home crowd went nuts.

"No one can call baseball boring," said GreenJackets manager Troy Tulowitzki. "Not after a game like that."
