Tourists Rally For Late Win Over Sand Gnats
The Asheville Tourists finished off the Savannah Sand Gnats, 6-2. Much of the credit belonged to second baseman Mike Taylor. Taylor went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Tourists. Reliever Jorge Alvarado picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Tomás Ganoso, who is tied for 2nd in the SAL in holds with 6, took the loss. Asheville is now 43-37, Savannah 46-34.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Ty Green to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tourists on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We took home the win," said Taylor. "What's not to like?"
