CMC-NorthEast Stadium was the site for South Atlantic League action featuring the Kannapolis Intimidators and West Virginia Power.

West Virginia turned a good effort from starter Reggie McClain into a win over the Kannapolis Intimidators at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The Power won the game, 6-0. McClain, now 5-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing no runs.

Rhett Fuller had a big run-scoring double for the Power in the top of the sixth inning. With West Virginia leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a knuckle curve from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Erik Jerningham and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Power ahead, 2-0.

West Virginia manager German Melendez called it "a darn good win."

With the win, West Virginia raised its record to 43-39.
