Asheville Tourists starter Pete Mason hurled his team past the Savannah Sand Gnats, 4-2. The win went to Pete Joseph in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Geoffrey Lee took the loss. Asheville now has a record of 41-41 with the win.

Juan Reyes drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Asheville. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Geoffrey Lee. It was his 15th walk of the season.
