The Lexington Legends downed the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-2, the largest share of the credit belonging to right fielder Eric Barnes. On the day, Barnes was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Legends. With the win, Lexington has a record of 46-37. Delmarva falls to 43-40.

Lexington took a 5-2 lead on Steve Tamamura's 18th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Tamamura hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Delmarva pitcher Cristián Medina visibly frustrated.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Legends manager Brad Lincoln.
