Drive Continue Skid, Thanks to Soto, Legends

The rain did not keep Lexington and Greenville from finishing their game.
The Lexington Legends defeated the Greenville Drive, 9-1, at Fluor Field at the West End. Lexington catcher Tomás Soto had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winner was Eric Hammers, who threw 101 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 6 hits.
Early in the game, Soto had a 3-run home run for Lexington. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Legends on top, 3-0.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Jason Wood.
Lexington has now won 4 straight, while the Drive have lost 7 in a row.
