The Asheville Tourists got a superb performance from pitcher Alfredo González, but the Greensboro Grasshoppers still won the game, 6-5. González threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. Juan Camacho was the walk-off hero for Greensboro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grasshoppers designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
