Shorebirds Pick Up 11-3 Win Against Lakewood
The Delmarva Shorebirds coasted to a win over the Lakewood BlueClaws, 11-3. Manny Zarate had a good day at the plate for Delmarva. He went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The win was credited to José Cerrano in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Mike Savage took the loss. The win gives Delmarva a season record of 52-51.

The Shorebirds got a big hit from catcher Joe Cramer. Facing Lakewood pitcher Mike Savage in the bottom of the fifth, Cramer pounded a 2-run triple to left-center. His 2nd triple of the season put the Shorebirds ahead, 6-3.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Zarate.
