Tourists Take Home 3-2 Win Over Savannah
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old second baseman José Juárez, the Asheville Tourists defeated the Savannah Sand Gnats, 3-2. The winner in relief was Ron Scott. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-3. The 4th-place Sand Gnats have lost 5 straight games.

Juárez had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a solo home run. The Tourists went on to win.

"When you put in the effort and you get really focused, the results come in ways you're not even expecting," said Tourists manager Dave Turgeon.
