Losing Trend Continues for Hagerstown
The Greensboro Grasshoppers topped the Hagerstown Suns, 3-0, in South Atlantic League action at NewBridge Bank Park. The standout performance belonged to Greensboro pitcher and Richmond Hill, Canada, native Curt Zigay. Zigay got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 2 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The last-place Suns have lost 10 consecutive games.

The Grasshoppers got a big at-bat from second baseman Joe Collins. For the game, Collins went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Greensboro a 2-0 lead.
