The Greensboro Grasshoppers dealt the Lexington Legends a 5-4 loss at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Johnny Hill was the star on offense. He was 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Merlin Mullins earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 8-2. Had Hill not come through in the top of the ninth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Hill hit a run-scoring single. The Grasshoppers took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.
