Boucher goes 4-for-6, Leads Tourists to Win
Spirited fans greeted the West Virginia Power for their clash with the Asheville Tourists.

The Asheville Tourists beat the West Virginia Power, 9-5, at Appalachian Power Park. Asheville third baseman Chris Boucher had an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Pete Mason earned the win, while 23-year old right-handed pitcher Darryl Jones took the loss for West Virginia.

With Asheville leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Boucher hit a run-scoring single off West Virginia hurler Darryl Jones. It was the 9th hit of the season for Boucher and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Boucher. "You've got to get results."

The setback makes West Virginia 58-51.
