Grasshoppers Beat Shorebirds in 11
The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-2, in 11 innings. Doing his part was right fielder Wally Ramsey, who went 4 for 6 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Greensboro reliever Ken Patrick picked up the win. Robinson García, who is tied for 2nd in the SAL in saves with 29, took the loss for Delmarva. With the win, the Grasshoppers hiked their record to 69-41.

Ramsey had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-1 fastball from Robinson García, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Grasshoppers a 5-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Ramsey.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Greensboro skipper J.A. Happ.
