Intimidators Deal Tourists 6-4 Defeat
|
Kannapolis parlayed a decent outing from starter José Zamora into a solid win over the Asheville Tourists. The final score was 6-4. Mel Walter picked up the win in relief for Kannapolis, while Ken Moss took the loss. Earning the save was Luis Díaz. He's now cashed in 6 of 6 save opportunities.
With one out in the top of the fourth, Rob Stone put Kannapolis in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Intimidators went on to win the ballgame.
Said Kannapolis manager Carlos Mota: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
With the win, Kannapolis pushed its record to 64-50.
