The 6-1 Greenville win over Hagerstown was due in large part to Don Campbell. The Drive designated hitter was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Greenville reliever Bobby Samuels picked up the win. Jim Richmond, who is tied for 5th in the SAL with a 2.17 ERA, took the loss for Hagerstown. The Greenville winning streak has reached 3 games.

Ron Lindsey had a big 2-run double for the Drive in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Greenville leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jim Richmond and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drive ahead, 4-0.

"We had a nice day," said Greenville skipper Jason Wood.
