Hargrove, Legends Too Much for Suns
|
Lexington and Hagerstown duked it out and the Legends came out victorious.
Kevin Hargrove was a major factor in the 5-3 Lexington win over Hagerstown. The Legends first baseman went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The win went to Jonathan Pipard in relief. His record improves to 4-13. Beau Brooks took the loss. Steve Parker recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 2 for 3.
Hargrove had a timely hit for Lexington in the top of the ninth. With Lexington trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Lexington.
Lexington manager Brad Lincoln called it "a pretty good win."
Lexington goes to 60-65, Hagerstown to 32-93.
