Greensboro turned a fine outing from starter José Colón into a victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws at NewBridge Bank Park. The final score was 6-2. Clarence Woods earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Greensboro is now 80-47, Lakewood 73-54.

Jesús Peña chipped in for Greensboro, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
