The Charleston RiverDogs spoiled a good performance by Augusta second baseman Sean Owens, bumping off Augusta, 5-4, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Owens was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Charleston reliever Julián Árias picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jake Cooper took the loss. Edgar López notched his 22nd save in 25 chances.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jeremy Herman? The 23-year old third baseman Herman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Charleston up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
