Greenville Upended, 5-3, by Kannapolis
|
Garry Disney had a strong outing for the Kannapolis Intimidators against the Greenville Drive at Fluor Field at the West End. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Billy Bryant earned his 4th save in 4 chances. Kannapolis is 73-55 and Greenville, with the loss, 62-66.
Kannapolis used a timely hit from Tomás Vásquez to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Intimidators ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Garry was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Kannapolis manager Carlos Mota.
