In a low-scoring affair between Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Lakewood BlueClaws, pitcher Eric Comerford was the difference-maker. The Greensboro left-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 1-0 win. José Sánchez was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jeremy Jackson. Doug Brown delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the tenth to win it for the Grasshoppers. For the game, Brown drove in one run.
