BlueClaws Get 7-4 Win Versus Hagerstown

The Hagerstown Suns and Lakewood BlueClaws left the fans buzzing.
Robby Martin left his imprint on the 7-4 Lakewood win against the Hagerstown Suns. Martin, who is tied for 8th in the SAL in bases on balls with 49, went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. José Ortíz earned the win for Lakewood. He lasted 8.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 9-5. Jeremy Jackson earned his 22nd save in 23 tries.
In the bottom of the sixth, Lakewood second baseman Lou Bannatyne had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Bannatyne stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 5-3, Lakewood. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Bannatyne told reporters after the game.
