Joe Fletcher was instrumental in his team's 11-0 triumph over the Kannapolis Intimidators. The shortstop went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Delmarva Shorebirds. The win for the Shorebirds lifted their record to 68-68.

In the top of the second, Mabarak Afridi delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Delmarva catcher hit a 2-run single, putting the Shorebirds in front, 11-0.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Delmarva skipper Tripp Keister.
