Cyclones Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Renegades, 5-3
The Brooklyn Cyclones satisfied the home crowd at MCU Park, treating them to a season-opening win, 5-3, over the Hudson Valley Renegades. Starting Pitcher José Agodo was the standout performer for Brooklyn. Dave Barnett picked up the win in relief for Brooklyn, while Jeremy Fox took the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Al Hawkins in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Jeremy Fox to win the game for Brooklyn. The home crowd went nuts.

"Awesome outing. José was on top of them all night long," said Brooklyn manager Tom Slater.
