Walters, Blue Jays Wallop Cubs in Game 5 of R1
The DSL Blue Jays have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading DSL Cubs, winning, 6-2, at Baseball City Complex. Blue Jays center fielder Colm Walters slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Blue Jays to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Round 1.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fifth. That's when Walters hit a 3-run home run off Luis Miguel Muñóz. It propelled the Blue Jays into the lead, 3-2.

"Pedal to the metal" is how DSL manager Edwin Encarnacion described his team's approach.

Game 6 is scheduled for Saturday at Toronto Blue Jays Complex.
