Dragons Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hot Rods
The Bowling Green Hot Rods could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Ken Horn into a win. Instead, the Dayton Dragons prevailed, 4-1, in 11 innings. Horn threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball. The Dragons sit in 6th place in the Eastern Division with a record of 66-67.

Dayton used the timely hitting of Lou Sweeney to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dragons on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Sweeney. "I think we showed that here."
