Hot Rods Rally Late to Clip Great Lakes
The Bowling Green Hot Rods earned a win at Bowling Green Ballpark, stopping the Great Lakes Loons, 3-2. Starting pitcher Jake Canavan played a big role in his team's success. Felipe Melle earned his 32nd save in 36 tries. The Hot Rods now have a record of 66-73 with the win over Great Lakes.

Bowling Green took a 3-2 lead on Joe Peterson's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Peterson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Great Lakes pitcher Phil Sparks visibly frustrated.

"I like the roll we're on," said Bowling Green manager James Hoyt.
