The Texas 2 (DSL) Rangers 2 satisfied the home crowd at Pittsburgh Pirates Complex, treating them to a season-opening win, 4-3, over the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers. Starting Pitcher Juan Ramírez was the standout performer for Texas 2 (DSL).

In the bottom of the fourth, Eric John delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Texas 2 (DSL) third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Rangers 2 in front, 4-3.

"I thought he pitched pretty well," said Texas 2 (DSL) manager Kieran Mattison. "Juan did his part."
