In a low-scoring affair between the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers and the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals, pitcher António Rodríguez was the difference between victory and defeat. Though he did not get the decision, Rodríguez did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 6.1 innings, until Los Angeles (DSL) eventually rallied past the Cardinals.

"I was a little disappointed," said St. Louis (DSL) manager Alberto Castillo. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
