The Miami (DSL) Marlins beat the Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue, 8-4 -- though it took them 11 innings. Miami (DSL) first baseman José García had a pretty good game. He went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The loss lowers the Houston 1 (DSL) record to 2-4.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Marços Lenidas came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Houston 1 (DSL) pitcher José Arviuz, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Miami (DSL) on top, 5-4.
