Robinson López had a strong outing for the DSL Mets against the DSL Guardians at New York Mets Complex. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. The win belonged to Augusto Sáenz in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bernardo Gonzáles took the loss for DSL. Eugenio López picked up the save for DSL, his 3rd of the year.

Had Don Stewart not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Stewart hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mets.

"That's baseball," said DSL manager Ryan Christenson. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."

With the win, DSL upped its record to 11-3.
