Thanks in large part to first baseman Jared Lee, the New York N (DSL) Mets 1 beat the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers, 8-3. Lee was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The loss drops the Dodgers to 8-5.

Jerry Dickey had a big 2-run home run for the Mets 1 in the top of the fourth inning. With New York N (DSL) leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from José Gonzáles and swatted a home run to right. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets 1 ahead, 3-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Dickey told the New York N (DSL) Daily News.
