Borras Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Baltimore (DSL)
The Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 2 outlasted Anastasio Borras and the Cleveland (DSL) Guardians, 9-8. Borras was impressive in the loss. The Cleveland (DSL) designated hitter was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Ed Gibson, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The triumph makes Baltimore (DSL) 7-5, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2025.

In the top of the sixth, Greg McAllister delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Baltimore (DSL) catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Orioles 2 in front, 9-8.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," McAllister told the Baltimore (DSL) Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
