The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

Texas 2 (DSL) left fielder José Muñóz was sensational. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. New York N 2 (DSL) beat the Rangers 2, 13-6. The win boosted New York N 2 (DSL) to 12-3.

The Rangers 2 had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Mets 2 going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old catcher José Farías came to the plate. Farías hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch changeup from Texas 2 (DSL) hurler Kel Rose. It was Farías's 3rd double of the year.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Farías said (again).
