Diamondbacks Win at Home, 5-3
|
The DSL Diamondbacks picked up a win at Baseball City Complex, topping the DSL Angels, 5-3. On the mound for DSL was right-hander Jeff Finley. He played a principal role in the triumph. Finley yielded 3 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-0. Ron Wells picked up the save for DSL, his 2nd of the year.
Juan Ramírez went 1 for 4 for DSL. The 19-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring single off Bob McJannett. It was his 5th hit of the season.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Finley.
The defeat makes DSL 3-8.
