Marlins Keep Losing, Drop 9-2 Contest to Los Angeles (DSL)
Thanks in large part to center fielder Ken Taylor, the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers beat the Miami (DSL) Marlins, 9-2. Taylor hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 4. Jeremy Young, the winner, goes to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts over 5.1 innings. With the victory, the Dodgers upped their record to 12-10.

With Los Angeles (DSL) leading 6-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Taylor came up to bat against Miami (DSL) pitcher Jeff Brown. Taylor hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Dodgers on top, 9-0.

Taylor said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
