DSL Absorbs 7-2 Loss to DSL
|
The home team gave the crowd at Rawling Foundation Complex something to cheer about.
A good performance from left fielder Aiden MacAskie helped the DSL Giants defeat the DSL Angels, 7-2. MacAskie was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Giants. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Dan Burks in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eric Hale took the loss.
MacAskie had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Eric Hale, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Giants a 2-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for MacAskie.
"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said MacAskie.
