The Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos defeated the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals, 4-3, in Dominican Rookie League action at Baseball City Complex. Cincinnati (DSL) pitcher Ernie Thompson had a standout performance. The win belonged to Joe Hill in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Raúl González took the loss for St. Louis (DSL). The win gives Cincinnati (DSL) a season record of 19-10.

José Martínez was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati (DSL). With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rojos second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
