DSL and DSL duked it out and the Rays came out victorious.

The DSL Rays picked up a win at Tampa Bay Rays Complex, knocking off the DSL Phillies, 3-0. Starting pitcher Sam Whittleton played a key role in the triumph. The Rays, at 8-9, inhabit 4th place in the Coastal Division.

Whittleton, who was born in Edison, New Jersey, delivered a quality start for DSL. The 6-foot-1 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 6 hits over 8 innings of work.

"Sam was filthy tonight," said DSL manager Jesus Sucre.
