Young Helps DSL Cruise to 12-3 Win
Not everyone stuck through the 52-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The DSL Mets soundly defeated the DSL Cardinals, 12-3, at New York Mets Complex, with catcher Chris Young a major reason why. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for DSL. José García earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 4-0.

Young contributed in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped DSL get the win.

"We've got a great group of guys," Young said, "and we're having fun right now."

The Mets, now 18-11, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.
