The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Baseball City Complex.

Danny Carroll was terrific for the DSL Twins in his team's 2-1 triumph over the DSL Guardians. His performance earned Carroll rave reviews. The winner was Carroll. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mario Velásquez. Raúl Pérez earned the save for DSL.

Tony Hopkins had a big solo home run for the Twins in the bottom of the sixth inning. With DSL leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a splitter from Eugenio Ramírez and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 2-0.

"Danny pitched like a champ," said DSL manager Grant Dayton.

The win gives the Twins a record of 11-23.
