DSL got a strong outing from Tim Holsten as the Orioles defeated the DSL Yankees, 2-1, at Baseball City Complex. Olímpio Teves earned the save for DSL, his 6th. By defeating DSL, the second-place Orioles improved to 17-16.

Joe Mercado had a big run-scoring double for the Orioles in the bottom of the third inning. With DSL leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Enrico Vargas and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Orioles ahead, 2-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" DSL manager Omar Ramirez said.
