Watson Goes Deep Twice, Helps Mets Top Pirates, 7-4
The DSL Mets topped the DSL Pirates, 7-4, the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Curt Watson. On the day, Watson hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Mets. Eugenio López closed it out for his 5th save. The triumph puts DSL at 19-12 for the season.

Watson had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count curveball from Luis Rosas, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Mets a 7-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Watson.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Watson told the DSL Citizen.
