The Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 2 topped the New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2, 7-3, with first baseman Mauro Cobian playing a big role. Cobian went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Orioles 2 in the win. The save went to Chet Kirkpatrick, his 1st this season. Baltimore (DSL) raised its record to 19-18 with the win.

Cobian contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baltimore (DSL) in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Cobian took a curveball from Rob Simons and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Orioles 2 to leap in front, 4-2.

"The key is not trying to do too much," said Cobian.
