Guardians Make Twins 5-2 Losers
Conditions were not ideal but Cleveland (DSL) and Minnesota (DSL) were able to put their game in the books.

The Cleveland (DSL) Guardians topped the Minnesota (DSL) Twins, 5-2, in Dominican Rookie League action at Baseball City Complex. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland (DSL) pitcher César Martínez. Today's win puts Cleveland (DSL) at 18-20, while Minnesota (DSL) falls to 18-20.

It could have been a different outcome for Cleveland (DSL), had it not been for José Brault, the 22-year old shortstop . Brault contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Cleveland (DSL) up, 2-1.

"César gave us a very blue collar effort," said Cleveland (DSL) manager Jordy Mercer.
