Mariners Land Close Win
The DSL Mariners stopped the DSL Mets, 9-8, in 17 innings at Las Palmas Complex. The Mariners got a big game from Jesús Méndez, who went 6-8 with 3 doubles, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Reliever Ben Baldwin picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. José García took the loss. The win hiked the DSL record to 23-13.

The Mariners got a clutch hit from third baseman Juan Romero. In the bottom of the 17th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mariners.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Ruben Escalera, the DSL skipper.
