The skies opened up and the rain fell at New York Yankees Complex.

The exploits of first baseman Jorge Acevedo helped the DSL Marlins defeat the DSL Yankees, 5-0. Acevedo was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Raúl Montoya collected his 4th save.

DSL used a clutch at-bat from Juan Guzmán to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Marlins ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

DSL manager Raymond Nunez commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
